Power button board
Description Spare part number
Power button board L28705-001
Before removing the power button board, follow these steps:
1. Turn o the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is o or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4. Remove the service door (see Service door on page 41).
5. Disconnect the battery (see Battery on page 43).
6. Remove the hard drive (see Hard drive on page 45).
7. Remove the keyboard (see Keyboard on page 53).
8. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 55).
9. Remove the system board (see System board on page 66).
Remove the power button board:
1. Remove the two Phillips PM2.5×2.5 screws that secure the power button board to the top cover (1).
2. Remove the power button board from the computer (2).
Reverse this procedure to install the power button board.
