Battery
Description Spare part number
4-cell, 90 WHr, 5.85 AHr, li-ion battery L05766-855
Before removing the battery, follow these steps:
1. Turn o the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is o or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4. Remove the service door (see Service door on page 41).
Remove the battery:
WARNING! To reduce potential safety issues, use only the user-replaceable battery provided with the
computer, a replacement battery provided by HP, or a compatible battery purchased from HP.
CAUTION: Removing a user-replaceable battery that is the sole power source for the computer can cause
loss of information. To prevent loss of information, save your work or shut down the computer through
Windows before removing the battery.
1. Slide the left latch to the left (1).
2. Slide the right latch to the left (2) that secure the battery to the computer.
3. Lift by the tab and remove the battery from the computer (3).
Reverse this procedure to install the battery.
