TouchPad module
Description Spare part number
TouchPad module L30663-001
TouchPad DreamColor module L28745-001
The TouchPad module cable is available in the Cable Kit using spare part number L28710-001.
Before removing the TouchPad module, follow these steps:
1. Turn o the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is o or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4. Remove the service door (see Service door on page 41).
5. Disconnect the battery (see Battery on page 43).
6. Remove the hard drive (see Hard drive on page 45).
7. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 55).
Remove the TouchPad module:
1. Disconnect the TouchPad cable from the system board (1), and peel it away from the top cover (2).
2. Disconnect the second TouchPad cable from the system board (3)
3. If an NFC module is present, disconnect the NFC module cable from the NFC module (4).
4. Remove the four Phillips PM2.5×2.5 screws that secure the TouchPad module to the top cover (1).
