interface loopback <label>

Use the interface loopback command to create a virtual interface that can be assigned layer 3 and higher

properties and is always up unless the router is shut down. Use the no form of this command to delete a

configured loopback interface.

By default, there are no configured loopback interfaces.

The following example creates a loopback virtual interface (labeled 1) and enters the Loopback Interface
