Clearing scanner jams
Occasionally, paper becomes jammed during a scan or copy job.
Some of the causes include the following:

The paper input trays are loaded improperly. See “Loading
Copier/Scanner originals.”

The original is too small or large to be correctly fed through the
scanner. See “Supported paper sizes and types (media).”
●
The original exceeds the maximum page length. See “Supported
paper sizes and types (media).”
●
Media that does not meet HP specifications is used. See “Printer
paper specifications.”
An error message will appear on your PC screen when a jam occurs.
