RJ-45 (network) cable

NOTE: The RJ-45 (network) cable is included in the Cable Kit, spare part number 734283-001.

Before removing the RJ-45 (network) cable, follow these steps:

1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the

computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.

2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.

3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.

4. Remove the battery (see

Battery on page 50), and then remove the following components:

a. Service cover (see

b. Hard drive (see

c. Optical drive (see

Optical drive on page 54)

d. Keyboard (see

Keyboard on page 62)

e. Top cover (see

USB board on page 87)

i. Speakers (see

Remove the RJ-45 (network) cable:

1. Remove the Phillips PM2.0×5.5 screw (1) that secures the left-side rear corner cover to the

base enclosure.
