5. Remove the full-height tape drive.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
USB tape drive
CAUTION: To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server unless
all bays are populated with either a component or a blank.
To remove the component:
1. Power down the server (on page 26).
2. Remove the bezel ("Bezel" on page 27).
3. Remove the access panel ("Access panel" on page 28).
4. Disconnect the USB tape drive cable from the drive and the system board ("System board
components" on page 68).
