A Portable Images Network Tool (PINT)
The Portable Images Network Tool (PINT) automates NIC configuration on the servers after moves.
NOTE: For more information on PINT, see the PINT readme files at system drive\Program
Files\HP\HP Insight Control server migration\PI\PINT.
PINT can only be used with servers supported by Insight Control server migration. For more information, see
the
Insight Control Support Matrix
.
NOTE: If PINT is installed on the source server, then it is disabled on the destination server when the
migration is complete.
Migration agents
The following migration agents are available for PINT:
• PINT Windows SMP Agent—You can launch this agent on any Windows source server or virtual machine.
This agent runs as a service and is disabled on the destination server after performing a server migration.
• PINT Linux SMP Agent—You can launch this agent on any Linux server or virtual machine. This agent
run as a service and is disabled on the destination server after performing a server migration.
