Install Storage Mirroring on the cluster
1. If you have not already done so, install Storage Mirroring on the first node of the cluster using the installation defaults.
2. Repeat step 1 on the second node of the cluster.
No special configurations is required for the cluster nodes, other than Storage Mirroring be up and running.
Completing the standalone configuration
To finalize the configuration, you need to establish a connection between the replication set on the source and the cluster.
Using the Connection Manager, establish the connection.
Select the owning node as the
Target Server and select the IP address of the virtual server for the Route. For detailed
information on establishing a connection through the Connection Manager, see Establishing a connection on page 6-7.
NOTE:
The Storage Mirroring installation will prompt you to reboot the machine. You can reboot at a later time,
but in order for Storage Mirroring to function properly and for you to finish these instructions, you must
reboot.
