Upgrading and replacing hardware

Small Form Factor models

1 Switch off the PC and remove the PC’s cover. Refer to page 8.

2 Remove the accessory board bracket.

3 Remove the retaining clip.

4 Remove the slot cover and store it in a safe place in case you need it again.

5 Aligning the card carefully, slide it into position and press it firmly into the slot.

6 Replace the retaining clip.

7 Replace the accessory card bracket.

8 The accessory card may need a special connection, such as from an optical drive if you are installing

an add-on sound card.

9 Replace the cover.

If you install an add-on sound card, remove

the cable in this connector and insert it into

the sound card’s connector.
