Exporting and importing data
The import and export features are important functions of the application. You can import and
export data for many reasons, including to communicate issues to the support center and to capture
network status.
NOTE: Currently, you can only export to and import from the same releases of the application (for
example, export from release 8.0 and import to release 8.0).
Importing a file imports the following:
• Physical map
• Status icons
• User properties
• Discovered properties as they were set at the time of the export
Exporting data
To export data to disk or e-mail, perform the following procedure:
1. Select SAN > Export from the HAFM menu bar.
The Export dialog box opens (Figure 15).
