Gateways, and DNSServer addresses. If you do not specify any network
configuration, the replica virtual machine will be assigned the same network
configuration as the source.
17. Click Next to continue.
18. Configure the volumes on the replica virtual machine that will be created on the
target.
l Replica Disk Size—For each volume you are protecting, specify the size of
the replica virtual machine on the target. Be sure and include the value in MB
or GB for the disk. The value must be at least the size of the specified Used
Space on that volume. You will be unable to edit the disk size for a volume if
you selected to use a pre-existing virtual disk for that volume, because the
pre-existing configuration will be used.
Note: If the size of the replica virtual machine is identical to the size of the
source volume and the source has less than 20 MB of free disk space
remaining, you may run out of disk space on the replica due to
differences in how the virtual disk's block size is formatted. To avoid
this issue, specify the size of your replica virtual machine to be at least
20 MB larger.
l Replica Disk Type—For each volume you are protecting, specify the type of
disk, Dynamic or Fixed, that will be created on the replica virtual machine.
You will be unable to edit the disk type for a volume if you selected to use a
pre-existing virtual disk for that volume, because the pre-existing
configuration will be used.
l Storage Controller—If you are using a Hyper-V target, you can specify the
type of Storage Controller that you want to use for each volume on the
Hyper-V target.
