Platen Assembly
Removal
WARNING Switch off the printer and remove the power cord.
1. Open the window.
NOTE In the following steps, please treat the screws with great care as
they can easily be damaged.
2. Remove twenty-nine screws T-10 screws (item 1) from the platen
assembly (item 2) and remove the platen assembly (see Figure 68).

Installation of the Platen Assembly
CAUTION When installing the Platen Assembly, make sure the screws are
installed properly so that the heads of the screws do not interfere
with the media path when the printer is in use. Do not exceed a
torque of 10 psi on the screws.
NOTE You must perform the following Service Calibrations after the
installation of the Platen Assembly.
