Additional messages will appear while the computer tries to establish the

connection to the printer. When this is finished, one of the following

messages may appear:

• Found hp photosmart printer - Printing and card access are now

available.

• Cannot find the hp photosmart printer - Printing may be available but

card access is NOT available.

I inserted the printer

software CD, but the

computer could not

read it.

The CD was not properly

installed.

The CD-ROM drive may be

damaged.

The CD may be damaged.

1 Reinsert the CD and try again.

2 Try inserting a CD you know works. If

that CD does not work, you may need to

service your CD-ROM drive.

3 If other CDs work but the printer

software CD does not work, you may

have a damaged CD. You can

download the printer software from the

HP Web site or call the software

distribution center. See the Services and

Support booklet that came with your

printer.
