excessive flash
use, and
excessive
zooming
consume a lot
of battery
power.

The lithium ion
battery you are
using was
recharged
incorrectly.
A lithium ion battery is not fully
charged when new, and it
discharges over time whether or
not it is installed in a camera. A
battery that is new or has not
been charged recently must be
recharged to reach full capacity
(see Appendix A: Managing
Batteries on page 163).
