This product can be upgraded, possibly extending its useful life by several years. Upgradeable features
and/or components contained in the product include:
Higher endurance capacitors for longer life.
Higher temperature rated capacitors for longer life and reliability
Improved gold plating on connectors, ports, and add-in cards for longer life and reliability
Over current protection using polyfuses for USB, serial, PS/2, and video ports for improved
reliability and hardware protection
On-board thermal sensors for improved reliability and thermal protection
More stringent thermal and humidity testing inside a special cabinet to simulate a thermally harsh
POS environment
Spare parts are available throughout the warranty period and or for up to 5 years after the end of
production.
