Removal and Replacement Procedures
5.16 RTC Battery

The RTC battery is included in the Miscellaneous Plastics Kit,
spare part number 325528-001, and is also included with the top
cover, spare part number 325510-001.
1. Prepare the notebook for disassembly (Section 5.3) and
remove the following components:
❏ LED switch cover (Section 5.7)
❏ Keyboard (Section 5.8)
❏ Display assembly (Section 5.12)
❏ Top cover (Section 5.13)
2. Turn the top cover bottom side up with the TouchPad facing
forward.
3. Slide the RTC battery out of the bracket in the top cover.
Removing the RTC Battery
Reverse the above procedure to install the RTC battery.
