Lifting the Server Cabinet Manually

Step 6. Align the screw holes in the handle’s front flange with the rack mounting holes in the server’s rack

mount flange. Secure with the two thumbscrews. See Figure 2-6 on page 50.

Step 7. Repeat steps 2—4 to install the other handle on the other side of the server.

Step 8. After handles are secured, server is ready to lift.

Step 9. Handles are removed in reverse order of steps 2—4.

Step 10. After moving the server, remove the lift handles from the chassis.

Step 11. After the server is secured, replace the previously removed cell boards and bulk power supplies.

Step 12. Reinstall the side covers and front bezel.
