7. Connect the opposite end of the data cable to one of the light blue SATA connectors on the system
board.
NOTE: Refer to System board connections on page 57 for an illustration of the system board
drive connectors.
8. Replace the front bezel.
NOTE: An optional bezel trim piece that surrounds the front of the 5.25-inch drive is available
from HP. Install the bezel trim piece in the front bezel before replacing the front bezel.
Removing a 3.5-inch device
CAUTION: All removable media should be taken out of a drive before removing the drive from the
computer.
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 44)
2. Remove the access panel (
Access panel on page 45)
3. Remove the front bezel (
Front bezel on page 47)
4. Disconnect the drive cables from the rear of the drive, or, if you are removing a media card
reader, disconnect the USB cable from the system board as indicated in the following illustration.
