Step 12: Verify Installation

Verify the installation of the second hot-swap mass storage cage and the drives in

it. To do so, verify that all of the hot-swap drives are operational by using one of

the following:

Hard disk drive LEDs: See "Verifying Hard Disk Drive Operation"

below.

HP DiagTools: Run this diagnostic utility to verify the hard disk drive

modules. Refer to your HP NetServer’s installation guide, or download HP

DiagTools and its guide.

To download, go to

http://www.hp.com/go/netserver/, select

Technical Support, and then select Troubleshooting. Download the latest

version of HP DiagTools and the guide for it.

Verifying Hard Disk Drive Operation

Each Ultra2 hard disk drive module has two LED indicators on its front, one for

status and one for activity, as shown in Figure 2-14.
