System Memory Support
The HP Compaq Pro 6305 Business PC supports:
Two channels of non-ECC DDR3 unbuffered dual in-line memory modules (UDIMM) or DDR3 unbuffered small outline dual in-line
memory modules (SO-DIMM) with a maximum of two DIMMs per channel
Single-channel and dual-channel memory organization modes
Data burst length of eight for all memory organization modes
64-bit wide channels
DDR3 system memory I/O voltage of 1.5V
Theoretical Maximum Memory Bandwidth:
10.6 GB/s in single-channel mode of 21.3 GB/s in dual-channel mode assuming DDR3 1333 MT/s
12.8 GB/s in single-channel mode or 25.6 GB/s in dual-channel mode assuming DDR3 1600 MT/s
32 GB maximum memory support depending upon available number of DIMM sockets
CAUTION:
You must shut down the computer and disconnect the power cord before adding or removing memory modules. Regardless
of the power-on state, voltage is always supplied to the memory modules as long as the computer is plugged in to an active AC outlet.
Adding or removing memory modules while voltage is present may cause irreparable damage to the memory modules or system board.
Memory Configurations:
Slot 1 is black and must always be populated. Not all memory configurations possible are represented below.
NOTE:
For systems configured with more than 3 GB of memory and a 32-bit operating system, all memory may not be available due to
system resource requirements. Addressing memory above 4 GB requires a 64-bit operating system.
