HP Systems Insight Manager

HP Systems Insight Manager (HP SIM) p rovides hardware-level management for HP P roLiant, Integrity,

and HP 9000 ser vers; HP BladeSystems; and HP ProLiant Storage Ser vers, HP StorageWorks MSA, EVA,

and XP storage arrays. HP SIM also provides management of non-HP gear through industry standards.

It can be extended to provide system management with plug-ins for HP clients, storage, power, and

printer products.

NOTE:

ProLiantStorageServerscanonlybeamanageddevicewithinthenetworkmanagedbyHPSystems

Insight Ma n ager. The Microsoft End User License Agreement (EULA) shi pped with the storage server

states that the ProLiant Storage Server cannot host the HP Systems Insight Management application

and serve as the HP SIM host for the network.

Accessing HP Insight Management Agents

The HP Insight Management Agents for Ser vers enable you to view subsystem and status information

from a Web browser, either locally or remotely.

To view data locally on the H P Data Protection Storage Ser ver, access h
